At some point, a lot of the content stopped making sense. Or, rather, it was coherent as fragments - but concatenation and compression rendered it incomprehensible. The exhibition pinned the later image work of the PhD to the walls of our work-space, and then defaced and attached subsidiary influences and fragments to these panels. The core of the exhibit was an over-scaled generated form that transitioned from the regular pattern of the continuous monument, into the high Fitzroy Flats, and back again.
Perhaps there was a sense of belated participation in a moment and a movement long gone.
I will never again use corflute as a mounting material in 30 degree weather.
I thank the crew that helped assemble it, and that watched it come apart.
